Michael Kneeland

Michael Kneeland is non-executive chairman of United Rentals. He joined the company in 1998 and subsequently served as chief executive officer from 2008 until his retirement in 2019, when he became chairman. During his tenure, Mr. Kneeland led United Rentals through a period of significant growth and helped establish it as the world's largest equipment rental company. He also serves as chairman of Gildan Activewear and as a director of GXO Logistics.
